Trinkets is made by Studio Mason in the UK. This explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and how you can delete your data.
What stays on your phone
Your trips, photos and cut-outs stay on your phone. Cut-outs are made on your phone by Apple’s built-in tools; your photos are never uploaded unless you choose to publish a collage.
What we collect
Your account: when you sign in with Apple we receive an Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (Apple may give us a private relay address instead).
Your profile: your handle, what you’re collecting, and your profile picture if you add one.
What you publish: collage images you publish to Discover, and the time you published them.
Activity: the collages you like, and any reports or blocks you make.
App updates: basic technical details such as app version and device type, so the app can download updates.
We don’t use advertising, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
To run your account, show your profile and collages in Discover, count likes, keep the community safe (reviewing reports, removing content and blocking accounts), and answer you when you contact us.
Who helps us run Trinkets
Supabase stores accounts, profiles, published collages and likes on servers in London, UK.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple.
Expo delivers app updates.
Each of them protects your data at least as well as this policy does, and only uses it to provide their service to us.
Who can see what
Everyone signed in to Trinkets can see your handle, profile picture, published collages and like counts. Your name and email aren’t shown to anyone. Your trips and unpublished photos are never visible to anyone else.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can remove a published collage at any time, and delete your whole account in Edit profile → Delete account. That immediately deletes your profile, profile picture, published collages and likes from our servers. Copies in backups are gone within 30 days.
You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for Trinkets in your iPhone’s Settings, which signs you out.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Trinkets isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app. Questions? Email [email protected].
